Overview

We are actively seeking motivated individuals or teams interested in conducting research that enhances our shared knowledge of the digital assets fixed income space and its practical applications.

Our Research Grants provide up to US$10,000 in funding, with the final award amount determined based on the criteria outlined below. For further details on the application process, please refer to the timeline provided below.

Eligibility

  • Past unsuccessful applicants
  • Projects at any point in the development process
  • Researchers aged 18 or older, of any origin, identity, or background

  • Any form of work that is illegal within the jurisdiction it is taking place in
  • Projects requesting retroactive funding
  • Projects that do not fit within the scope of fixed income
  • Any restricted persons

Application Process

Start your application by completing the grant form and submitting the required supporting document. We also welcome any additional documents that could support your application. Make sure to fill out all fields accurately and thoroughly-clear and precise information is key. Keep the four evaluation criteria in mind to make your submission as strong as possible.

All applications are initially screened for completeness and eligibility. Once approved, they are reviewed and scored by our Grant Committee on a 100-point scale, with equal weight given to each of the four evaluation criteria outlined above. Applicants who receive a score of 75 or higher will be invited to a virtual pitch.

Congratulations on reaching the pitching phase! This conversation with the Grant Committee is your chance to dive deeper into your proposal. The session will be divided into 15 minutes for your pitch and 15 minutes for a Q&A. While there is no fixed presentation format, it is important to focus on conveying your vision, approach, and expertise. If your project is at a more advanced stage, we highly encourage including a demo.

After the pitch, applicants will receive award notifications within a week, regardless of the outcome.

Once accepted, grantees will undergo an onboarding process to finalize up to four milestones, along with their associated grant disbursement tranches and deliverables. Grantees can also opt to be connected with mentors from our network for additional guidance. This process helps ensure projects remain aligned with Treehouse's mission and receive the support necessary for long-term success.
