What Is Lunar New Year?
Lunar New Year, or Chinese New Year, is one of the most significant celebrations in many parts of Asia. It marks the beginning of the lunar calendar and is a time for family reunions, symbolic traditions, and wishing for prosperity and good fortune in the year ahead.
This year, we’re stepping into the Year of the Snake, a zodiac sign that symbolizes wisdom, intuition, and transformation—fitting themes for a DeFi journey! One of the most beloved CNY traditions is the gifting of red packets (hongbao), filled with money or small gifts, symbolizing blessings and good fortune. Inspired by this tradition, our Squirrels have prepared Treehouse Red Packets filled with rewards for our community!

From January 28 to February 4, join us for 8 days of daily rewards as we celebrate the new year in true Treehouse style! Here’s how you can participate:
How It Works
- Eligibility: Hold >0.02 tETH on Arbitrum during the campaign period.
- Claiming: Each day, eligible users can collect 1 Treehouse Red Packet via the Treehouse dApp.
- Duration: The campaign runs for 8 days, starting January 28, 2025, at 00:00 UTC and ending February 4, 2025, at 23:59 UTC.
What’s Inside the Red Packets?
Each day, 1888 Treehouse Red Packets will be distributed, and they might contain:
- Boosts: Maximize your Nuts in the ecosystem
- Nuts: Add to your stash and enjoy ecosystem benefits
- tETH: Airdropped to eligible winners holding >0.02 tETH throughout the campaign
- Red Packet Badge: displayed on the leaderboard, with future utility on Treehouse
- Treehouse Squirrel NFTs: ATH price at 0.45 ETH!
With 1888 Red Packets available daily, there’s plenty of prosperity to go around. However, once the daily supply is fully claimed, you’ll need to wait for the next day to try again!

Q: Who is eligible to participate in the campaign?
A: Holders of >0.02 tETH on Arbitrum during the campaign period (January 28 – February 4, 2025) are eligible to claim one Red Packet per day.
Q: How do I hold tETH on Arbitrum?

Q: How do I claim a Treehouse Red Packet?
A: Log in to the Treehouse dApp daily to receive your Red Packet.
Q: What rewards are inside the Red Packets?
A: Red Packets may contain tETH, Treehouse Nuts, boosts, or an exclusive Red Packet-themed badge. The tETH rewards are off-chain tickets that will be airdropped to wallets holding >0.02 ETH worth of tETH at the end of the campaign.
Q: Are the rewards stackable?
A: All rewards are stackable except the badge and boosts, where the highest boost will take precedence.
Q: When do the boosts end?
A: The boosts are evergreen, giving you ongoing benefits till the end of the GoNuts Reward Campaign!
Q: Am I eligible to open the red packets if I staked my tETH on Balancer?
A: No. However, you can get more tETH via bridging on the Treehouse dApp, or swapping on Balancer!
Q: Can I still receive rewards if I don’t hold tETH until the campaign ends?
A: You’ll need to hold your tETH until the campaign ends to receive any tETH rewards you’ve won. Other rewards like Nuts and boosts will be reflected immediately.
Q: Are Portfolio or NFT boosts available on Arbitrum?
A: No, Portfolio and NFT boosts are not available on Arbitrum.
Q: How many Red Packets are available each day?
A: A total of 1888 Red Packets will be distributed daily. Once they’re claimed, you’ll need to wait until the next day to try again.
Q: What happens if I don’t claim my Red Packet on a given day?
A: Unclaimed Red Packets do not roll over, so make sure to log in daily to claim yours!
Q: What measures are in place to prevent abuse of the campaign?
A: We’ve implemented an anti-sybil mechanism and captcha to prevent bot activity. Any wallets flagged as bots will be blacklisted and ineligible for rewards. Nuts collected from the GoNuts rewards programme may also be forfeited.
